Residential Adjudication
Instructed as an Expert Quantity Surveyor to provide an Expert Report, Supplemental Report, Joint Statement and oral evidence at an Adjudication Hearing, in a dispute between a developer and a contractor to assess the value of defects to be offset against the post termination final account on a multi-million pound residential development contract, including groundwork, brickwork, fire stopping and pod construction defects.
Residential Litigation
Provided an Expert Report and was cross examined in the Chancery Division of the High Courts of Justice in relation to the proper value of works carried out at a London Property based on contrasting positions as to which party carried out the Scope of Work.
Industrial Litigation
Provided an Expert Report, attended Meetings of Experts and commenced the production of a Joint Statement with the opposing Expert, in insurance litigation proceedings in the Commercial Court, relating to the demolition and rebuild costs at an industrial fire damaged property. The demolition and rebuild costs included issues with site conditions and more specifically related to a listed building. Matter settled at mediation.
Energy Adjudication
Provided an Expert Report in adjudication proceedings and evidence at the adjudication meeting in relation to a multi-million pound post-termination final account dispute at a Waste to Energy facility, comprising the assessment of the proper value of work completed in relation to milestones, variations and cost and expense. Also, prepared an Expert Report in anticipation of adjudication proceedings and in relation to a multi-million pound counterclaim for alleged incomplete and defective work.
Oil and Gas Arbitration
Assisting an international organisation verify sums claimed in relation to a hundred-million dollar plus arbitration, on a cost reimbursable oil and gas dispute. The commission included the quantification of costs associated with both man-hours and documented cost-plus mark-up claim.
Rail Dispute
Provided Expert advice in relation to a multi-million pound dispute on the loss and expense due to the contractor in relation to a series of railway electrification upgrades in the Midlands.
